Please join the American Alpine Club as we celebrate the climbing community's boldness: on the rock and in advocacy. 

We're experiencing a changing climate-and we don't just mean the planet. Our 2023 keynote speakers-the Full Circle Everest Team and former Vice President Al Gore-have both made massive contributions to transforming the outdoor community, and have shined a light on the subtle conditions we're dealing with. From making history as the first all-Black team to summit Everest, to educating millions on climate change, these speakers are changemakers. In addition to honoring their contributions, we will celebrate the anniversary of the 1963 first American ascent of Everest-highlighting how the legacy of the climbing community, its evolution, and its future directions intertwine with each other. Join us as we celebrate where we have been, how far we've come, and as we dig deeper into transforming the conditions for the send.

The Annual Benefit Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year. Our work supporting members, connecting and educating climbers, and protecting public lands depends on the commitment of folks like you. Join us in raising over $500,000 to continue this important work.

Community requires commitment, and no act of generosity is too small to make a difference.

Gala Ticket Refund Policy:

We are able to offer full refunds for ticket purchases until Monday, February 20th. After Feb 20th, we are only able to offer partial refunds of the ticket price minus $325 per person.  (Example: you would receive a $175 refund for a $500 ticket). However, given the uncertain and changing nature of these times, we are unable to offer a full refund at any date for those affected by COIVD-19. If you have been exposed or are feeling sick, please stay home.

About the Auction:

  • The Silent Auction opens for bidding on February 28th and closes on March 11th.
  • Silent Auction FAQs can be found here
  • The Live Auction takes place around 8pm EST on March 11th (You must be present at the Gala to participate)
  • If shipping, winners are asked to cover shipping fees. This allows your donation to be maximized in supporting the AAC's work.
  • We encourage you to set a maximum bid for items. This will allow the system to bid automatically for you, up to the limit you set. Talk about easy winning!
